Blessed Anna Maria Janer Anglarill (18 December 1800-11 January 1885) was a Spanish nun who established the Sisters of the Holy Family of Urgell. Due to a Civil War (1836) she emigrated to France, seeking refuge for four years with the Daughters of Charity in Toulouse. She chose St. Vincent de Paul as a primary patron of her institution of Sisters. (More information at in this .famvin post from the Year of Vincentian Collaboration, when the Vincentian Family Office highlighted many lesser-known groups who are active in the spirit of the Vincentian Movement.)

Blessed Anna Maria Janer’s memorial is celebrated on January 11. The following presentation gives some brief biographical information and an overview of the charism of those who follow in her footsteps today. From the website: sagradafamiliadeurgell.org
