Since the days of St. Vincent de Paul, the poor of Madagascar have always benefited from the works of the Vincentian Family. Today, the AIC (International Association of Charities) is at the forefront of systemic change there.

In 1988, four disadvantaged women and one Daughter of Charity set out to serve street children. But the number of malnourished children exceeded the resources of the volunteers.
