July 19 is the anniversary of the date in 1813 when St. Elizabeth Ann Seton and 17 other Sisters of Charity of St. Joseph’s pronounced vows for the first time, adapting the vows of the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul.

For over 200 years, the Sisters of Charity have cared for those on the margins of society. Who is our neighbor, in today’s context? Sisters of Charity of New York ministry leaders respond to this question in the following video.
