Earlier this month the Ladies of Charity USA held their annual National Assembly. One of the highlights this year was the video, “Ladies of Charity: Acting Against Poverty With a Vincentian Heart” produced by Dr. Joan Ball from St. John’s University. Its message is one that surely will resonate throughout the Vincentian Family. In the words of St. Vincent: “Let’s ask God to give the Company this spirit, this heart, this heart that causes us to go everywhere, this heart of the Son of God, the heart of Our Lord, the heart of Our Lord, the heart of Our Lord… He sends us, like them… to bring this divine fire… everywhere, throughout the world.” (Addressing the members of the Congregation of the Mission on 22 August 1655.)
