The Congregation of the Mission’s 43rd General Assembly (2022) invited prayer and reflection on the theme: “Revitalizing our Identity at the Beginning of the Fifth Century of the Congregation of the Mission”. On the web page of the Assembly at cmglobal.org, some preparatory materials are provided to guide and stimulate reflections and sharing. One of the documents is The identity of the CM at the beginning of its fifth centenary by Vinícius Augusto Teixeira, CM. The author examines the theme of identity, noting that “without knowing who we are or what we are called to, we cannot live with meaning, act with enthusiasm, and speak with conviction”.

Although this is focused on the CM, who celebrate their foundation day on January 25, many of the reflection questions could apply to any branch of the Vincentian Family.
