December 1 is SCN Foundation Day, when Sisters of Charity of Nazareth remember their foundress Catherine Spalding and her early followers.
From a prayer found on their website: “Bless us with the gift of courage… To embrace the darkness and pain of the journey, To stand in love with those who suffer and ache on life’s journey. Carve into the canyons of our hearts your faithful love.”
A beautiful example:
