The story of St. Gianna Beretta Molla (1922-1962): married woman, mother of a family, and medical doctor. Her action at the end of her life, in giving up her own life to save her baby daughter Gianna Emanuela, was the natural flowering and culmination of an extraordinary life of virtue and holiness, selflessness and quiet joy. She is part of the Vincentian Family because as a young woman she served among the elderly and needy as a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society.
